Being a decent human- 64 lessons

Posted: November 13, 2009 by: Kelsey

I ran across a link to THIS site today and had to pass it on. It is a well written post by Patrick Maguire on his site I’m your Server, NOT your Servant. I am writing about this mainly because in this small town at the typical home cooking style restaurants, kinda food your mom used to make, I see people pull this shit all the time.   The way some of these people treat their servers is disgusting. And it must be pretty routine and common because I have never seen a server put them in their place. One of the many, many reasons I was never good at being wait staff. I was better in the kitchen, hidden away….

I wish this list could be posted around town so maybe some of the rude assholes would take note. Yes, this is for upscale dining but I am of the mind that manners (and simple human decency) should be used if you are eating in a five star place or eating a sandwich and chips in the park. I have seen chimps at the zoo with better manners than some of the people around here. It’s shameful , really.
